Birth Booking Questions
Congratulations on the birth of your baby!
Thank you for using Pembrokeshire Registration Service's online booking system. Please read the following information then complete the booking by answering the questions.
The birth of your baby must be registered within 42 days (6 weeks). If your baby was born more than 42 days ago, this please telephone us on 01437 775176.
The registration must take place in the registration district where the baby was born.
Babies born at Withybush General Hospital should be registered with us. However if the birth took place at home, please check the location is within the Pembrokeshire Registration District (this will be the case if you pay your council tax to Pembrokeshire County Council).
If your baby was born in another district (e.g. Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen) you can make a 'declaration' at our office and we will send the details to the Register Office for the district where your baby was born for them to complete the registration. You will then need to contact that office to order birth certificates. It can take a number of weeks to complete the registration and produce the certificates so if you need certificates sooner, you will need to make an appointment with the other district. Please note that declaration appointments are available on Fridays only.
If you wish to register a birth in accordance with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008, or have any questions about same sex birth registrations, please email registrar@pembrokeshire.gov.uk or phone 01437 775176.
The Registration Service provides pre-booked appointments only, we do not offer walk-in appointments.
