Book a notice of marriage
Before booking
Please check you have:
- Booked your ceremony with us (or with the local register office (opens in a new tab) in the area that the ceremony will take place)
- All the documents you need to give notice (opens in new tab)
- Your debit/credit card ready to pay for your notice/s
Your notice of marriage fee will be: £42.00 each if you and your partner are both a:
- British citizen
- Irish citizen
- Person with EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) settled or pre-settled status
or a foreign national with
- Indefinite leave to remain or enter (ILR) (permission to stay in the UK on an indefinite basis)
- Right of abode (ROA) (right to live or work in the UK without any immigration restrictions)
- Diplomatic exemption (diplomatic agents, administrative and technical staff of foreign and commonwealth missions along with qualifying family members such as spouses and civil partners)
- Military exemption (military members and their family are eligible for permission to stay in the UK temporarily)
If you and your partner are not within these criteria your notice of marriage fee will be: £57.00 and you will not be able to use the online booking system. Please email ceremonies@pembrokeshire.gov.uk to arrange an appointment.
Please note:
- Both partners must attend their local register office (opens in a new tab) in person to give notice of marriage. If both partners live in Pembrokeshire we recommend you give notice together.
- You must book an appointment more than 28 full days before your ceremony (if there are exceptional circumstances, e.g. ill-health, that mean that you need to book an appointment with less notice, please email ceremonies@pembrokeshire.gov.uk for advice)
- If you do not have the right immigration status, the right visa, or evidence in support of your marriage notice, you will be referred to the Home Office and the period of notice may be extended to 70 days.
